Double use of LCD TV

30" LCD mirror TV Miravison

At last! Philips came out with this brilliant idea of the possibility of using your expensive LCD TV even when it’s off. How? By using it as a mirror!

A very cool idea in my opinion, and will reduce ‘clutter’ from all over the walls…

I can imagine how the surprise on your friends’ face when you invite them over to watch a football match and you seat them in front of a mirror and at the push of a button – there comes the game!

Here’s the product page and here’s the Product Specification Sheet. [PDF]

  1. I bought this Toshiba Regza 42″ LCD television and it has been nothing but problems. The sound is horrible and there is a 1.5″ vertical discoloration on the screen from top to bottom. Toshiba’s local repair shop in Minneapolis ( Alex audio video ) has had it for going on three weeks and has no idea if or when it can be repaired. I am told it can take up to four months. To add insult to injury, the people at Toshiba are belligerent and unsympathetic.

  2. That’s cool- I’ve haven’t seen any of the other manufacturers follow suit. It looks artistic- and probably much cheaper than one of those lifter TV units people use to hide them.
